Pomegranate Wonderful

The pomegranate is very adaptable tree and will grow in regions ranging from temperate to tropical. It is deciduous tree that is generally best maintained at around 2- 3m high but can reach up to 3-5m if it is left unpruned. Like most fruit trees it prefers a well draining soil with a sunny aspect. The attractive trees are frost hardy and make a very ornamental garden specimen. They are suited for growing in large pots and in general will start to fruit once the trees get about 1 metre tall. Pomegranates can tolerate drought, but for good fruit production they need summer moisture.
