Hydrangea

Traditionally a shrub for shady garden beds or side paths, hydrangeas have spread their wings in recent years, with a bunch of new sun-loving varieties appearing on the scene. They like morning sun and all afternoon in the shade. Available in whites, pinks, purples and blues, the tones may change based on the Ph of your soil. These days there are a variety of sizes available. Prune hard in March, they are mostly deciduous and re-shoot in August/September.
